Dingxi Potato Research Institute was established in June 1998 as the first private potato research and seed potato production enterprise in Gansu Province, and was also the first to promote virus-free seed potato technology in Dingxi. Over the past 20 years, it has been engaged in the research, production, and sales of virus-free pre-elite seeds (minitubers), elite seeds, and commercial potatoes. Currently, it produces 60 million virus-free plantlets and nearly 100 million pre-elite seeds (minitubers) annually. Its products are sold to major production areas across China, and it exports over 10 million pre-elite seeds each year. The Xiangquan Base is a national demonstration zone for standardized production of virus-free pre-elite seeds and a seed potato export base.

As a provincial new R&D institution, we have jointly built training bases with multiple universities, owning 5 independently-bred varieties and a number of patents. We were awarded the Second Prize of Gansu Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2025, driving industrial technological upgrading through continuous innovation.
Participated in the compilation of national seed potato production standards and established a national standardized production demonstration zone. The newly built testing center is advancing CNAS accreditation and implementing whole-process virus monitoring, making "Laike Potato" a quality benchmark sold worldwide.
The base realizes full mechanized operation and maintains in-depth cooperation with international giants such as Simplot and PepsiCo. Adhering to the philosophy of "Focus, Quality, Service", we strictly control the quality of every seedling, striving to build a world-class business card for Chinese potatoes.
