Mayan Potato 1 is a fresh-eating variety characterized by mid-to-late maturity, high drought tolerance, and strong adaptability to poor soil conditions. Both the tuber skin and flesh are bright yellow, with an appealing shape and high yield. The flesh has a distinctive aroma. 马研薯1号属于鲜食品种，中晚熟，耐旱性耐瘠薄性都比较高，生长茂盛，在肥水条件太好的情况下容易发生茎干折断现象，天然结实性非常强。薯皮薯肉都呈现鲜黄色，薯形美观，产量高。薯肉有特殊香味。块茎干物质含量随生产条件不同变化较大，在10%-15%之间。
